A leveling kit and a lifting kit both raise your truck, however, the main difference is in height changes. A leveling kit is used to level the front end of your vehicle to match the higher back end, essentially leveling it off, and usually raises your truck between 1” to 2”. A lifting kit is used to raise your truck to any height you like, but is usually reserved raise between 2” to 10“.

When you choose a leveling kit, you have to consider the effects it has on steering and suspension. Sure, your vehicle now has greater ground coverage, and you might even attach bigger wheels and tires. However, there are issues to contend with including the infamous “death wobble,” which can be cured when installing the right kit properly.

Now for the clincher. If you are just seeking a higher versatility of maneuverability over rough terrain, and primarily use your truck for work, get a leveling kit, they are budget friendly and will improve your performance. You don’t need more, and it is much safer.

If you are a pimped car freak that wants to look down on the world from a skyscraping cab, then go for the lifting kit. Lift kits will give you either a total lift, where the rear remains higher than the front, or level the vehicle, so both are equally in height. Its all a matter of personal taste and application.

OK, ‘Nuff said, let’s get a look at the best 2” leveling and lift kits for your Ford F-150 2015. If you are seeking lift kits that go above 6”, move on.

So, what do you get with this kit?

To start off with you need at least 18″ wheels with 4.50″ of backspace for this to succeed. You get Front lifted knuckles with strut spacers and a front and rear cross member with sway bar drop brackets. The kit also includes differential drop brackets together with brake line brackets, a drive shaft spacer and rear fabricated anti-wrap blocks with brake line relocation brackets and U-bolts. Conclusions

There are many lifting and leveling kits available online, the choice has to be based on safety, reliability and this comes from only reliable fabricators using the best materials in a standardized and federal compliant manufacturing process.

Installing a leveling kit is quite an exciting experience, and if you are into DIY car stuff, then go for it. Just make sure you have the following tools ready for the process:

  • Floor jack and jack stands for your vehicle make and model
  • Torque Wrench
  • Wrenches – full set
  • Screwdriver
  • Pliers
  • Hammer
  • Extra nuts, bolts, and screws for those usual missing ones
  • Ratchet
  • PB Blaster

Before you start installing, just open your leveling kit and check to see all the parts are included. Also, read the instructions before starting, and always block off your tires and place your vehicle in “park” with your emergency brake applied. Next, list all the torque specs. Required and always place safety first.
